General Airbag Control Module Examination & Repairs
In some instances the area where the vehicle wiring harness connects to an airbag control module (ACM) can be damaged prohibiting the Bosch direct-to-module (D2M) cable from connecting. Additionally, the ACM itself may have sustained damage during the crash. In many instances we are able to conduct "light" repairs to the ACM and still collect data.
In some situations physically connecting the D2M cable to the ACM is not possible. In those situations, we have the capability to connect to the appropriate pins on the ACM either externally or internally and still collect data.
Custom made cables
Did you know there are nearly 40 "supported" vehicle models where data can only be collected through the vehicle diagnostic port (DLC) because a direct-to-module (D2M) cable was never made? We most likely have already made a cable and can provide crash data retrieval services if needed.
Did you know that over 20 Bosch CDR System direct-to-module (D2M) cables have been discontinued? The vehicles that would require these D2M cables are still on the road, and still crashing. In most instances, we can make a custom cable for our customers so they can collect the data using their respective EDR tool.
We have also made, and in some cases sell, custom made cables for vehicle forensic purposes other than Crash Data Retrieval. More often than not, these are custom one of a kind cables made to serve a particular purpose when there was no factory cable.
Our Products Include
CDR Repowering Rig
- This one of a kind custom cable provides a method for supplying power directly to an airbag control module (ACM) bypassing the vehicles ignition system
EDR Tool Power Cable
- This one of a kind custom cable provides a method to power the Hyundai-Kia EDR tools directly in situations where the diagnostic link connector (DLC) does not have power
Vehicle Control History (VCH) Cable
- This one of a kind custom cable provides a method to collect VCH data from Toyota vehicles directly from the airbag control module (ACM) when the vehicles electrical system does not supporte collecting data through the diagnostic port (DLC)
